Editorial Policies
Editorial Independence
JPMedAI maintains complete editorial independence. Decisions are based solely on the scholarly merit of the work and its relevance to the journal’s scope, without influence from sponsors, advertisers, or other stakeholders.
Editorial Board Roles

Editor-in-Chief: Provides overall editorial direction, ensures quality standards, and upholds ethical principles.

Associate/Section Editors: Oversee the peer review process for assigned manuscripts and recommend final decisions.

Editorial Board Members: Contribute to strategic planning, promote the journal, and advise on policy.
Decision-Making
Manuscripts may receive one of the following decisions:

Accept without changes

Accept with minor revisions

Revise and resubmit (major revisions)

Reject (with or without the option to resubmit)
All decisions are communicated with clear, constructive feedback to authors.
Appeals & Complaints
Authors may appeal editorial decisions by submitting a written explanation to the Editor-in-Chief within 30 days. Complaints regarding the editorial process or ethical concerns will be handled in accordance with COPE guidelines.
Conflict of Interest Policy
All authors, reviewers, and editors must declare potential conflicts of interest. These include personal relationships, financial ties, or academic competition that could influence objectivity.
Retraction & Correction Policy
JPMedAI follows the COPE Retraction Guidelines:

Retractions: Issued for proven cases of data fabrication, plagiarism, or major ethical violations.

Corrections: Published for errors that affect the interpretation of results.

Expressions of Concern: Issued if an investigation is ongoing but concerns are significant.
Preprint Policy
JPMedAI allows the submission of manuscripts previously posted as preprints, provided authors disclose the preprint server and DOI upon submission.
Data Availability
Authors must include a Data Availability Statement describing where the data supporting their findings can be accessed, or provide justification for any restrictions.
