Peer Reviewer Guidelines
Purpose of Peer Review
The peer review process is central to JPMedAI’s mission to maintain scientific integrity, relevance, and quality. Reviewers play a critical role in ensuring that published work is accurate, methodologically sound, ethically conducted, and valuable to the precision medicine and AI community.
Reviewer Responsibilities

Confidentiality: Treat all materials received as strictly confidential.

Objectivity: Provide fair, unbiased, and evidence-based feedback.

Timeliness: Submit the review within the agreed timeframe (typically 14–21 days).

Constructive Feedback: Highlight strengths, identify weaknesses, and suggest specific improvements.

Conflict of Interest Disclosure: Notify the editor immediately if any conflict exists (e.g., personal, financial, academic).

Ethics Concerns: Flag any suspicion of plagiarism, data manipulation, duplicate publication, or ethical misconduct.
Criteria for Evaluation

Review Process Summary

Double-blind review (identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed)

At least two independent reviews per manuscript

Final editorial decision made by an Associate Editor or Editor-in-Chief, based on reviewer reports and editorial judgment
